Felted wool panels carry the shaft and quarters while smooth leather takes the toe, the heel counter and both pull tabs. That split puts the warm material where the cold gets in and the hard-wearing material where the scuffs land.

  • Felted Wool Panels: Dense and windproof, the wool holds warmth across the shaft where thin material would not.
  • Leather Trim: Set at the toe, heel and tabs, the leather takes the wear that would flatten wool first.
  • Welt Sole: Stitched around the perimeter, the sole survives a winter of salt and wet pavement.
  • Fit and Sizing: True to size; the wool lining takes a little room, so size up a half over thick socks.
  • Care and Wear: Brush the wool gently, wipe the leather trim, and dry the boots away from direct heat.
