“Words create worlds.” - Abraham Joshua Heschel
Born outside of Chicago, IL, to a hard-working single mom, my world was filled with exploration as I sought to entertain myself as an only child. I was the first at school and the last to leave almost every day until I could drive. Sports, scouting, and other activities helped me pass the time and taught me much about myself, others, and valuable skills for the life ahead of me.
As a teenager, I felt a strong call on my life to invest in those around me and see that their lives would have meaning, purpose, and impact. This began most closely with my baseball teammates all the way through college. Many of my teachers, coaches, and mentors began to recognize and foster my leadership abilities by giving me opportunities to gain experience and prepare me for whatever may be next.
In my undergraduate studies, I met my wife Stevie and in 2014 we married in McPherson, KS. This season of life was met with many milestones as we established ourselves as a couple, we both graduated college, and I began a career in vocational ministry. This calling on my life would be filled with many highs, lows, twists, and turns that would take me from Kansas to Phoenix, AZ, and back to Kansas again.
In 2022, I received my Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Later that year, I would become a father to Oliver and be given the unique opportunity to write a different story from the narrative of my youth. I currently serve as the Lead Pastor of Community Covenant Church in Osage City, KS which is a rural church committed to making a big impact in every generation.
